Turn focused time into Jira worklogs.
StintLoop sits in your Mac's menu bar. Pick an issue, run a 25-minute stint or a stopwatch, and log the time to Jira with one confirmation.
Coming soon for macOS. Every download starts with 30 days of Pro, no card needed.
From focus to worklog in four steps
No browser tab to keep open and no timesheet to fill in on Friday.
-
Connect Jira
Enter your Jira Cloud site, email and API token. The token stays encrypted on your Mac.
-
Pick an issue
Choose a project, filter by epic or assignee, and start on the issue you're working on.
-
Focus
Run a Pomodoro stint with breaks, or a stopwatch for as long as the work takes.
-
Log the time
Confirm the minutes and an optional note. StintLoop writes the worklog and shows you exactly what it sends.
What StintLoop does
- Pomodoro and stopwatch
- Work in 25-minute stints with short and long breaks, or let the clock run. Sounds and a session counter keep you on track without looking.
- Nothing sent without your OK
- Every worklog, comment and status change is shown to you first, with the issue and its assignee. If Jira doesn't answer, StintLoop checks before trying again, so time is never logged twice.
- Your week at a glance
- History by day, week and month, three simple charts, and CSV export with rounding for timesheets and invoices.
- Fix today's worklogs
- See the time you logged today on an issue and edit or delete an entry without opening Jira.
- Stays on your Mac
- No account and no StintLoop server for your work. Your token is encrypted with macOS secure storage and your sessions live in a local file.
- Linear Coming in 1.1
- Jira at work, Linear for side projects: one timer and one history for both.

Questions
What happens when the 30-day trial ends?
StintLoop switches to the free plan. The timer keeps working and you can still pick Jira issues for your sessions. Logging time to Jira, export, charts and full history need Pro. Your history stays on your Mac and comes back when you upgrade.
Do I need an account?
No. You can try StintLoop without signing up. When you buy Pro you get a licence key by email and enter it in the app.
Where are my Jira token and sessions stored?
On your Mac only. The API token is encrypted with macOS secure storage, and sessions are kept in a file in the app's data folder. StintLoop talks to your Jira site directly; your work never passes through a StintLoop server.
Does StintLoop send anything to you?
Only three things: a check for updates, your licence key with a random device ID when you activate Pro, and crash reports if you switch them on. Crash reports never contain your token, email, Jira site or issue details.
Does it work with Jira Data Center or Server?
StintLoop works with Jira Cloud. Support for Jira Data Center is planned for the Team plan.
Who sells StintLoop?
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles customer service inquiries and returns.
Will there be a Windows version?
Yes, once the Mac version is stable. Linux follows after Windows.
